Trump Reshapes Kennedy Center, Declares War On Leftist Influence
President Donald Trump is taking bold action to restore the Kennedy Center’s reputation, announcing sweeping changes to remove leftist influence and return the institution to its original mission. After replacing board members with his own appointees, Trump toured the center, describing its current state as “disappointing” and pledging to “fix it up.”
The Kennedy Center, which has received millions in taxpayer funding, has become a stronghold for leftist activism in the arts. Just last year, it hosted drag performances targeting children — something Trump has vowed to put an end to. “This will stop,” he declared.
🚨 JUST IN: Trump is at the Kennedy Center for the board meeting and a tour. He is totally overhauling it.
He says they wanted to charge Lee Greenwood $30,000 just to sing there. Trump also says he is going to get with Speaker Johnson to fix its architecture.

Trump’s takeover has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry. Several Hollywood figures, including Issa Rae and Lin-Manuel Miranda, canceled their scheduled performances in protest. Vice President J.D. Vance and his wife were booed at a recent National Symphony Orchestra performance, highlighting the left’s resistance to Trump’s changes.
Richard Grenell, appointed interim executive director, has already announced a major shift in programming, including plans for a large-scale Christmas celebration. “We will not allow the Kennedy Center to be an intolerant place,” he said, making it clear that traditional American values would take center stage.

Natuurlijk wil hij het gaan verbouwen zodat het meer lijkt op zijn Mar-a-Lago. MT en bestuur bestaat nu uit MAGA.

Trump also criticized the facility’s management, questioning how it could spend $250 million on an expansion project while still being in “tremendous disrepair.” He pointed to wasteful spending, including underground rooms that he said were “never going to be used.”
The administration is also tackling financial inefficiencies. Trump revealed that it would have cost $30,000 just to move a piano for Greenwood to perform, blaming union rules for the excessive costs. He vowed to streamline operations and make the center more accessible.
Trump has made it clear that under his leadership, the Kennedy Center will no longer cater to radical activists. Instead, it will focus on high-quality performances that reflect the values of the American people.
