Trump Launches Task Force To Eliminate Anti-Christian Discrimination In Government

President Donald Trump has taken decisive action to combat what he calls years of anti-Christian discrimination by forming a new task force aimed at protecting religious liberty. Announcing the initiative at the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, he appointed Attorney General Pam Bondi to lead the effort in investigating and eradicating bias against Christians within the federal government.

Trump’s executive order directs the task force to examine federal agencies, including the Department of Justice, the FBI, and the IRS, for policies or actions that have unfairly targeted Christians. He emphasized the need to “immediately halt all forms of anti-Christian targeting and discrimination” within the government.

During his remarks, Trump highlighted past instances of government overreach under previous administrations, pointing to Biden-era policies that shut down churches during the COVID-19 pandemic while allowing other businesses to remain open. He also cited aggressive investigations into religious Americans, such as federal surveillance of conservative Catholic groups.

In addition to the task force, Trump announced the formation of a commission on religious liberty that will work to defend the rights of Christians nationwide. He also reaffirmed his commitment to ending policies that suppress religious expression, including in schools, workplaces, and the military.

Trump’s initiative drew strong support from conservative legal groups, including First Liberty Institute, whose chief counsel Kelly Shackelford praised the effort, saying, “All Americans should be free to exercise their faith without government intrusion.”

As part of his broader push to defend religious freedom, Trump also established the White House Faith Office, which will be led by longtime religious advisor Paula White-Cain. The administration continues to push forward policies aimed at restoring religious liberty as a central principle of American life.
