Trump Administration Turns Biden’s Migrant App Into Self-Deportation Platform
The Trump administration has overhauled the controversial CBP One app, which previously allowed over a million illegal migrants to enter the country under Joe Biden’s presidency. Now, the app has been redesigned to facilitate self-deportation for those in the U.S. unlawfully.
On Monday, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem introduced the revamped version of the app, now called “CBP Home,” allowing migrants to report their intent to leave before being detained and deported. “If they don’t, we will find them, we will deport them, and they will never return,” Noem stated.

TRUMP: I'll give him a check. I do it the old fashioned way […] And I don't want a discount.

Trump’s administration wasted no time reversing Biden’s immigration policies. The app’s previous function of scheduling asylum appointments at ports of entry was immediately shut down when Trump returned to office. Pending appointments were canceled, leaving thousands of migrants stranded in Mexico without a path into the U.S.

The self-deportation system is one of several measures the administration has implemented to crack down on illegal immigration. ICE has escalated nationwide deportation operations, targeting those with criminal records and outstanding removal orders. At the same time, border agents are reporting a sharp drop in illegal crossings as migrants recognize the risks of entering under Trump’s strict enforcement policies.

To further deter illegal immigration, DHS launched an aggressive public awareness campaign warning migrants that crossing into the U.S. illegally will result in swift deportation. Mexican officials have also stepped up their border security efforts, further discouraging attempted crossings.
Meanwhile, deportation flights have increased, with the U.S. military assisting in removing tens of thousands of illegal immigrants. Some detainees are temporarily housed at military facilities before being transported out of the country. Trump’s immigration policies are setting a clear tone — America’s border is no longer open to unlawful entry.
