Slumping Biden Wants To Score Taylor Swift’s Endorsement
A deeply unpopular president in the throes of a faltering campaign for reelection seeks a lifeline from an unlikely source. Joe Biden’s camp, according to the New York Times, wants the endorsement of pop superstar Taylor Swift.
Presidential aides are brainstorming for influential figures to line up behind the Democratic incumbent. And who would be bigger than Time’s “Person of the Year?”
That idea has the rousing support of no less of a far-left leader than California Gov. Gavin Newsom. The Democrat proclaimed that “what she was able to accomplish just in getting young people activated to consider that they have a voice…is profoundly powerful.”
The White House reportedly quizzed applicants for a social media position on how they would secure Swift’s endorsement as part of their interview response.
It would hardly be a shock to see Swift throw her considerable backing behind the embattled president. In 2020 she said she would “proudly vote” for Biden since “under their leadership, I believe America has a chance to start the healing process it so desperately needs.”
Staffers suggested that Biden make an appearance on Swift’s Eras Tour. The singer has several more U.S. stops on her fall schedule, which conveniently leads up to the November presidential election.

They further floated the possibility of fundraising appeals for the president.
Some conservatives believe Swift’s ascension up the popular icon ladder is part of a larger plan. Commentator Jack Posobiec said as much in a viral December post on X, formerly Twitter.
He wrote, “The Taylor Swift girlboss psyop has been fully activated. From her hand-selected vaccine-shill boyfriend to her DINK lifestyle to her upcoming 2024 voter operation for Democrats on abortion rights.”
Business Insider reported that many of Biden’s younger staffers are urging the White House to secure Swift’s endorsement.
It should be noted, however, that this same Oval Office demographic is also pushing for a different position on the Israel-Hamas war. It is widely reported that several are upset at the U.S. backing of the Jewish state after the Oct. 7 terrorist attack.
