Mayorkas Allegedly Says Lawmakers Won’t Like ‘Who Comes Next’ If Impeached

During a Monday interview, Rep. Kat Cammack (R-FL) alleged that Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas gave lawmakers a shocking warning in a closed-door hearing — telling them that they won’t like “who comes next” if he is impeached.

House Republicans have long been declaring their desire to impeach Mayorkas over his repeated failure to secure the southern border amid President Joe Biden’s border crisis, which has led to record-breaking numbers of illegal aliens entering the United States. However, these impeachment plans have yet to be put into action.

Meanwhile, Cammack told Fox News Channel’s “Outnumbered” host Harris Faulkner that Mayorkas made a shocking confession during a closed-door meeting with House Republicans where they discussed his potential impeachment.

Cammack stated that, when GOP lawmakers told the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) secretary that “you’re getting ready to be impeached,” Mayorkas responded, “You’re not going to like who comes next.”

“Whoa!” Faulkner replied.

“I asked him if that was a threat, and he just smiled,” the Republican congresswoman continued. “This man is dangerous, he knows exactly what he’s doing and he is two-faced. We need to get rid of him now.”

“What did he mean, ‘who comes next’?” the Fox News host asked.

“Well, that was the big question,” Cammack replied.

“I asked him. I said, ‘Is that a threat?’ And he just smiled, and I thought, ‘This man knows exactly what he’s doing,’” she continued.

“This is 100 percent by design. They want an open border crisis, whether it is for an election, whether it’s for future votes as they work to get rid of citizenship as a requirement for voting, we’re not sure,” Cammack added.

While this was a closed-door hearing and Mayorkas’ comments were not recorded, Cammack noted that there were other lawmakers in the room who heard him — and despite the alleged threat, they wish to continue their impeachment efforts because of Mayorkas’ negligent actions related to the border crisis.

“But he was very, very clear in what he said, and there were other members in the room. So I will never forget that, and as we go to impeach him for his negligence, for him destroying our national security and eroding our national sovereignty, that will be top of mind,” she explained.
