Investigation and Apprehension

Following the discovery of Ms. Lewis’s body and the report of her missing vehicle, law enforcement agencies from Louisiana and Texas initiated a coordinated investigation. The stolen vehicle was located the same evening in a Houston, Texas, Walmart parking lot. When confronted by Harris County deputies, both Ethan and Tristan Bush reportedly attempted to flee on foot. During this attempt, Ethan Bush was fatally struck by vehicles while crossing Beltway 8. Tristan Bush was subsequently located and apprehended in a nearby backyard.

Sheriff Stitch Guillory of Calcasieu Parish acknowledged the efficiency of the inter-jurisdictional response in identifying and apprehending the suspects.

Legal Proceedings

Tristan Bush is currently facing second-degree murder charges and is being held on a $2.5 million bond, awaiting extradition to Louisiana.
