Unleashed Pit Bull Attacks Manhattan Pizzeria Worker, Leaving Him Critically Injured

A Manhattan pizzeria worker is fighting for his life after being brutally attacked by a pit bull outside Roma Pizza on Fifth Avenue late Monday night. The incident occurred when the worker asked the dog’s owner, Tyshaun Watson, to take the unleashed animal outside.

According to police and witnesses, Watson reacted violently, stepping behind the counter and assaulting the employee. The confrontation then moved to the street, where Watson’s pit bull attacked the worker, biting him repeatedly. A co-worker described the horrifying scene: “The dog was mauling him, and Watson kept stomping on his head until he went unconscious.”

Witnesses say Watson only stopped because he thought the worker was dead. After the attack, Watson reportedly criticized the dog for not “finishing the job” and calmly returned to the pizzeria, where he waited for police. The other employees managed to lock Watson inside the restaurant by securing the doors from the outside, preventing him from leaving until authorities arrived.

When police arrived, they found Watson with a bite wound on his arm, likely inflicted by his own dog during the attack. The victim was transported to a hospital in critical condition, where he is expected to recover. The pit bull has been taken into custody by authorities, but its fate remains uncertain as investigations continue.

Watson has been charged with attempted murder and other related offenses. The violent nature of the attack has drawn attention to public safety concerns and the need for stricter regulations regarding aggressive dog breeds in urban environments.
