Trump Forces Mexico And Canada To Deploy Troops After Swift Tariff Victory
President Donald Trump has secured major concessions from both Mexico and Canada after imposing tariffs that left their leaders with no choice but to take action against the drug and human trafficking pouring into the United States. What began as posturing from leftist leaders quickly turned into full compliance as both nations bent the knee to Trump’s demands, sending troops to their borders to stop the flow of fentanyl and illegal migrants.
BREAKING: After begging President Trump on the phone, Justin Trudeau will now deploy 10,000 Canadian troops to protect America's border, and Canada will also now have a "Fentanyl Czar."
Like Mexico, the tariffs will be postponed for a month.

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum had initially threatened retaliation against Trump’s 25% tariff on Mexican imports, but within days she reversed course. She announced that 10,000 troops would be deployed immediately to Mexico’s northern border to halt drug trafficking, particularly fentanyl, which has been responsible for countless American deaths. Trump, pleased with the agreement, agreed to a 30-day pause on tariffs while further negotiations take place.

I do love that Mexico and Canada were both giving the whole “we stand united!” schtick a go right up until Sheinbaum took the first available off-ramp and left Trudeau and Canada holding the bag pic.twitter.com/hkPxNAKIW8

Canada, which had also attempted to respond with countertariffs, followed Mexico’s lead. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau pledged a $1.3 billion border security plan, adding helicopters, technology, and nearly 10,000 personnel to secure the northern border. Canada also agreed to appoint a Fentanyl Czar and designate cartels as terrorist organizations to combat the drug epidemic flowing from its side of the border.
Doug Ford and Justin Trudeau have just delivered the most embarrassing, self-inflicted humiliation in modern Canadian politics. They blustered, they grandstanded, and they postured like tough guys ready to “win” a fight with the United States, only to fold like cheap lawn chairs… pic.twitter.com/eY9pE0fbmb

Trump celebrated the victories, posting on Truth Social that Canada and Mexico had finally committed to stopping the “deadly scourge of drugs like fentanyl that have been pouring into our country.” He made it clear that while the tariffs were paused, they could be reinstated if Mexico and Canada failed to follow through on their promises.
Meanwhile, in Mexico, authorities wasted no time cracking down on cartel operations. El Ricky, a leader of the Cartel del Noreste, was arrested in Nuevo Laredo after Mexico’s military, national guard, and attorney general’s office coordinated the operation. His capture sparked violent clashes across the city, with gunfights breaking out and highways being blocked.
Trump’s swift and decisive action has forced America’s neighbors to finally take responsibility for the destruction caused by unchecked drug and human trafficking. With U.S. tariffs on hold, negotiations with Canada and Mexico are expected to continue, ensuring that both nations uphold their new commitments to border security.
