Trump Condemns Hunter Biden Pardon, Promises Justice For J6 Protesters
President-elect Donald Trump has blasted President Joe Biden’s pardon of his son Hunter, calling it a stark example of injustice. Trump accused Biden of failing to address the ongoing “miscarriage of Justice” for Jan. 6 protesters, many of whom remain in prison.
“Does the Pardon given by Joe to Hunter include the J-6 Hostages, who have now been imprisoned for years? Such an abuse and miscarriage of Justice!” Trump said in a statement Sunday night.
Hunter Biden, who had pleaded guilty to tax evasion and gun charges, was granted a broad pardon covering any crimes over the past 10 years. Biden defended the decision, claiming that political interference had compromised the fairness of his son’s prosecution.
Trump contrasted this leniency with the treatment of Jan. 6 protesters, many of whom face lengthy prison terms for non-violent offenses. He reiterated his promise to pardon all non-violent participants, framing their prosecution as a partisan abuse of power by Biden’s DOJ.
The Hunter Biden pardon also reignited criticism of the justice system’s perceived double standards. Many have questioned why BLM and Antifa rioters, responsible for billions in damages during 2020, faced little accountability compared to Jan. 6 participants.
Trump’s response highlights a core theme of his campaign: restoring fairness and trust in the justice system. His incoming administration is expected to make this issue a priority.
