RFK Jr.’s Trump Endorsement Could Decide The 2024 Election In Swing States
As the 2024 election approaches, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s choice to end his independent run in key battleground states and endorse President Donald Trump may tip the scales in the most competitive regions. Polls from Trump’s pollster Tony Fabrizio reveal that Kennedy’s endorsement could be a game-changer for Trump in crucial states.
Kennedy, who had been drawing between 3% and 5% of voters in states like Arizona, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, has shifted his support to Trump, resulting in a significant transfer of his backers to the former president. Fabrizio’s polling shows that Kennedy’s voters now back Trump over Democratic nominee Kamala Harris by about two-to-one across these states.
In Arizona, for instance, 53% of Kennedy’s supporters now favor Trump, compared to 28% for Harris. While the advantage narrows in states like Georgia and Michigan, where Trump gains only 13% and 2% more of Kennedy’s voters than Harris, the impact remains noteworthy. In North Carolina, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, Trump captures between 16% and 21% more of Kennedy’s supporters than Harris.
This shift could be decisive in these battleground states, where margins are tight. RealClearPolitics polling averages show Trump and Harris nearly tied in states like Arizona and Pennsylvania, with Trump leading by less than 1%. In Wisconsin and Michigan, Harris leads by only 1% to 2%. With such narrow differences, Kennedy’s endorsement might be the factor that pushes Trump ahead in these vital regions.
As both campaigns reassess their strategies, RFK Jr.’s decision to support Trump adds a new layer of complexity to an already intense race for the presidency. The coming weeks will reveal how much this unexpected alliance shifts the balance in these swing states.
