Over the weekend, the tragedy compounded the city’s grief, coming just days after a terrorist attack on Bourbon Street. Shamsud-Din Jabbar, the attacker, killed 14 people by driving a truck into a crowd during New Year’s Eve celebrations. Federal investigators later confirmed Jabbar’s ties to ISIS.
