New Poll Shows Trump Outshines Taylor Swift In Popularity

In a surprising turn, President Donald Trump has edged out pop star Taylor Swift in popularity, according to recent polling data from Siena College and The New York Times. The survey, conducted after the September 10 debate, reveals that 47% of voters view Trump favorably, while Swift lags behind at 44%.

Despite Swift’s well-publicized endorsement of Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris, it seems the pop star’s backing has had little impact on the 2024 election race. While Swift remains highly popular among Democratic voters, with 70% viewing her favorably, she struggles to gain traction among independents and Republicans. Her favorability rating drops to 41% among independents, with 32% viewing her unfavorably, and only 23% of Republicans hold a favorable view of the singer, while 60% view her negatively.

Trump, on the other hand, enjoys higher overall favorability, particularly with Republican voters, where he garners strong support. This comes as national Democrats and the Harris campaign have celebrated Swift’s endorsement, but it appears the move has done little to shift voter sentiment.

The polling also indicates that Swift’s influence has not significantly altered the race. The contest between Trump and Harris remains highly competitive, with neither candidate gaining a decisive lead. In fact, the data shows Harris trailing behind where Joe Biden stood among young voters during the same period in 2020.

As the 2024 election draws closer, it seems that Trump’s political standing has proven more resilient than Swift’s pop culture influence, at least in terms of voter favorability.
