Military Mobilized As Trump Pushes To Secure Border And Deport Illegal Immigrants

The U.S. military is mobilizing significant resources to enforce President Donald Trump’s border security initiatives, with Marines and soldiers deploying to the southern border and airlifts already underway to remove illegal immigrants from the country. On Friday, 1,500 active-duty service members joined the mission to fortify the border and support federal immigration enforcement efforts.

Military personnel from Army and Marine Corps units stationed across the country have been deployed to assist U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Troops will focus on constructing barriers, conducting surveillance operations, and maintaining security along the southern border. Marines from Camp Pendleton, California, have already arrived, with units from Fort Cavazos, Fort Drum, and Fort Carson expected to follow.

Additionally, Trump’s administration has announced that state and local law enforcement officers will be deputized to assist federal immigration agents in enforcement operations. White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller stated that officials obstructing federal efforts will face prosecution. “The Department of Justice will aggressively prosecute immigration crime,” Miller said, emphasizing that traffickers will face long prison sentences.

The Pentagon has responded quickly to Trump’s orders, with military planners working to meet aggressive timelines. In addition to ground deployments, repatriation flights have begun transporting deported individuals out of the U.S. Air Force C-17 aircraft have been seen at military bases in Texas and Arizona, ferrying illegal immigrants back to their home countries.

The deployment is part of a broader effort to address the influx of illegal immigrants that surged under the previous administration. Trump has already taken steps such as shutting down key entry points and halting the use of the CBP One app, which had been used by thousands to gain entry into the U.S.

Officials expect that the number of troops involved could rise to 10,000 as the administration continues its crackdown on illegal immigration. The military presence at the border marks one of the most significant deployments in recent history to secure the nation’s borders and uphold Trump’s campaign promise to protect American sovereignty.
