Durbin And Deep State Scramble To Block Trump’s FBI Pick Kash Patel
Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) is spearheading a desperate effort to derail President Donald Trump’s nomination of Kash Patel to lead the FBI. Durbin’s demands for federal agencies to hand over damaging information on Patel reveal how far Washington’s entrenched bureaucracy will go to protect itself from much-needed reform.
Durbin sent letters to the Justice Department, Department of Defense and Office of the Director of National Intelligence, calling for Patel’s records. He accused Patel of interfering with the Biden transition and mishandling classified information—claims that conveniently serve the interests of the so-called deep state.
Patel, known for exposing Democratic misconduct and targeting deep state corruption, is exactly the kind of FBI director Trump needs to root out political bias within federal agencies. The establishment knows this and is scrambling to stop him.
KASH PATEL: “Bill Gates is lobbying the Senate night and day to prevent the Epstein’s Island list from being released…and then Dick Durbin comes out and says he’s not going to release the names.”

Trump spokesman Alex Pfeiffer defended Patel, saying he “is proud of his service” and will address any concerns during the confirmation process. Patel’s past efforts to uncover the truth about Democratic officials’ wrongdoings make him a prime target for political attacks.
Durbin even pressed Trump’s Attorney General nominee Pam Bondi about Patel’s alleged links to QAnon, an obvious attempt to smear Patel without evidence. Bondi stood firm, stating Patel would follow the law.
You know @Kash_Patel is the right person when concerned one has a history of plagiarism, lying & protests too much✈️ 🌴
Pam was calm. Kash will be too. But inside one can't look at Durbin without wanting to ask: pic.twitter.com/T3HyYZ36hc

Democrats fear that Patel’s leadership at the FBI could expose years of corruption and political games under Biden’s administration. His confirmation hearing, yet to be scheduled, will likely be a battleground between Trump’s mission for accountability and the deep state’s efforts to maintain control.
