Biden’s Diversity-Driven Administration Blasted By Critics
Rusty Weiss has penned a scathing critique of President Joe Biden’s administration, accusing it of prioritizing diversity over competence. Weiss argues that this focus has led to significant shortcomings, highlighted by the recent assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump.
The failed attempt on Trump’s life at a Pennsylvania rally has brought intense scrutiny to the Secret Service, with Director Kimberly Cheatle facing criticism for the security breach. Despite early warnings and multiple reports from bystanders, law enforcement failed to prevent the shooter from firing multiple shots. Weiss describes Cheatle’s explanations as indicative of a staggering level of ignorance.
Weiss asserts that Cheatle’s appointment was driven by her gender rather than her qualifications, a sentiment echoed by Rep. Tim Burchett (R-KY), who referred to her as a “diversity hire.” The Daily Mail supported this view, labeling Cheatle a “diversity-obsessed boss” and criticizing her focus on increasing female representation within the agency.
The critique extends to other high-profile appointments within the Biden administration. DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas is accused of ignoring repeated requests for increased security for Trump. Weiss highlights Mayorkas’s focus on being the “first Latino and immigrant” in his role, suggesting that his tenure has been marked by significant security failures, including an unprecedented influx of illegal immigrants.
Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg is similarly criticized for his handling of various transportation crises, including train derailments and airport chaos. Weiss claims Buttigieg’s primary qualification was being the “first openly gay member of a presidential Cabinet,” and he suggests that Buttigieg’s performance has been subpar.
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre and Vice President Kamala Harris are also subjects of Weiss’s critique. Jean-Pierre, described as the “pièce de résistance” of Biden’s diversity hires, is portrayed as struggling to competently communicate the administration’s message. Harris is criticized for her perceived ineffectiveness, particularly regarding her role as border czar.
Weiss concludes that the Biden administration’s emphasis on diversity has resulted in widespread incompetence and significant policy failures. He argues that this approach has endangered national security and calls for an end to what he describes as the “affirmative action presidency.” Weiss urges voters to reject this model in the upcoming election, emphasizing the need for competence and merit-based appointments.
