Archbishop Carlo Vigano Urges Catholics To Support Trump Over ‘Satanic’ Harris

In a powerful open letter, Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano, a former Vatican diplomat, called on American Catholics to back President Donald Trump in the upcoming presidential election, describing the choice as morally critical. Viganò labeled Trump’s opponent, Kamala Harris, as an “infernal monster who obeys Satan,” asserting that Catholics must vote against her to protect the nation’s future, even declaring that abstaining from voting is not enough.

Vigano, who served as the Apostolic Nuncio to the United States from 2011 to 2016, has been an outspoken critic of the Vatican’s handling of various scandals. In 2018, he accused Pope Francis of covering up sexual abuse allegations against then-cardinal Theodore McCarrick, a move that led him to go into hiding. Earlier, he played a role in exposing financial corruption in the Vatican.

In his letter, Vigano framed the November election as a battle between good and evil, warning that a vote for Harris would mean choosing “slavery” over “freedom.” He argued that abstaining from voting would be equivalent to siding with the enemy, underscoring his belief that Trump is the only viable choice for Catholics.

Vigano’s endorsement emphasized the need for Catholics to distance themselves from what he described as an “anti-Christian” agenda promoted by Harris. He portrayed her as a puppet of global elites and claimed her policies would lead to the nation’s moral and economic destruction.

Polling data indicates that American Catholics are closely divided, with 52% planning to vote for Trump, according to the latest Pew Research survey. Vigano urged these voters to recognize the importance of their decision, suggesting that their choice could protect America from what he called a “globalist coup.”

The archbishop’s message echoes sentiments expressed by other Catholic leaders. American Cardinal Raymond Burke has also advised the faithful to engage in prayer and fasting before casting their votes, emphasizing the need to oppose anti-life and anti-family policies.

Father Chad Ripperger, a prominent Catholic priest and exorcist, added to the call for spiritual preparation by composing a prayer specifically for the election. He urged Catholics to invoke divine guidance to protect the nation from harmful influences, stressing that it is crucial to seek God’s help in discerning the right path for America.
